Finally I found the time to "migrate" this blog from Wordpress to Drupal.
After years of using Drupal for various specialized projects I came to the the conclusion Drupal would be best for my private blog - given its' multilingual capacities and all the other amazing stuff that is right built into it.
Migration was full of failed attempts trying the various recommended procedures. The automatic migration modules and procedures did not work out, because they could not cope with a multilingual Wordpress installation.
