Windows 7 is much better than Windows Vista when it comes to performance. i like Windows 7 just like Windows XP

D.C., I used the built-in Atheros drivers

From device manager, highlight the ethernet controller (or whatever device manager called it. I can’t see mine anymore.) Update driver software…, Browse my computer for software, Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, Network Adapters, Atheros Communications Inc., 11b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Adapter.

It worked for me.

Hi D.C. Toedt, I have got the Intel adapter.

But I did not do an Windows7 upgrade of XP. It was a clean install of Windows7 directly.

Which wireless adapter card did your LE1600 have? I’ve got the Atheron, not the Intel, and couldn’t get Win7RC to see it no matter what drivers I downloaded.

I just did a clean reinstall of XP, updated the BIOS to the April 2007 version, and am about to try again.
